Looks Like Some New 'Vert Pics Have Surfaced

At least I think they're new. I've not seen them before, but the site they're on appears to be a "scraper site" (i.e. they suck content of the internet and repost it on their site to attract viewers). http://www.autas.com/Gallery/?ID=322328 ... ertible%20

This image looks awfully suspicious to me as to the kind of work being done to the car, and I can't quite put my finger on what's wrong about it, but to me it just screams that it was all done recently and not some 60+ years ago.

You can see a larger version of it on the site I linked to.

These pictures continue to show that the entire rear section of the car was fabricated. They used the
inner fender wells from #1018 and the rear fenders off something else and fabricated a body to hang
them on. The rear quarters, the rear firewall, the section above the deck lid are all shown being
fabricated. The interior steel of the body was all taken from another brand of auto. The doors use
the shell of some other door with a stretched Tucker door skin. It is maybe 50-60% Tucker parts all
slapped on, according to expert Al Prueitt, the #1046 frame from Nick Jenin.

The truth keeps coming out on this thing......

I think that pic was on their website in their gallery. They show a lot on how the body was fabricated.

If it was me, I'd have put a Carson Top and dual Appletons on it...but that's just me.

At least he didn't put a Henway on it.

There was a lot more than just sheetmetal fabrication going on.............
If you didn't get dirty, then nothing was accomplished!
