1027 was only green in the movie. That door looks like a dirty blue to me, but yes it is from 1027.

john,

In rereading these posts, I keep seeing new things that I either hadn't recognized or didn't pay attention to the first few times around. So help me out, if you can:

Your very first photo on page 1 of this thread you posted this picture. I highlighted the parts in the box:

You asked if anyone could identify these parts in the box. Do you think these are the inside of the frame rails, either at the front, mid or rear sections of the frame. If so, was your point that the strengthening to the frame was done at a later date (after these photos were taken), since these inner sides of the frame were disassembled at the time of these pics?

I couldn't see any replies focusing on these parts, so I thought I'd try to clean up a few loose ends (no pun intended).

For reference, here's #57's rear frame:

Streamliner and others that are interested,

If you look closely, you will see, in the circled area a part of the top frame.

It is the triangular piece that has one-two tiny holes in it.
This is the last part of the conv top that seals on the back of the side window.

We verified this when my partner was on sight with Alan.

The other parts shown circled, mostly bits and pieces, nothing really heavy enough to be considered part of the frame. We do agree though, They could be part of a new frame design for reinforcement though.
Streamliner, we always tried to keep things focused on certain items to develop the history and have people realize what each thing meant to the story!!!

That was also why we tried hard to get a topic and forum area broken down so each part could be discussed in a logical and systematic way.

Congratulations on comprehending what you see.
It was just like the original Easter Egg, we passed it by many times, then the lights came on, this did not add up with what we were being told.
The rest is history >>>

The real answer finally came when Al Prueitt disclosed that he didn't see the car in Chicago but saw it in the Detroit area with Nick Jenin's collection in 1966. At that time it was only a frame and firewall and had been used by Nick in his traveling Tucker show. The frame had been likely reinforced by Jenin as it would have been pretty weak with no body to strengthen it.

No convertible, no sneaking out the back door, no special doors, no blue easter egg. That all came many years later. In 1966 it was just a frame and a firewall and thanks to Al Prueitt we know the truth.
