Tucker #1051 in New Jersey

Hello everyone! New poster here - long time Tucker fan.

I live in New Jersey and see from the web site that Tucker #1051 is also located in New Jersey. Anyone with information that they can share on #1051? I'd be very appreciative! TIA!

I have seen four different Tucker's in person and would love to see more! I'm going to try to use those pictured on the website to determine which ones I have seen. What I do know is that I've seen the blue one at Gast many years ago (learned today that it's now in Nebraska!), an unidentified silver one at the AACA fall show (Hershey) back in 1991, the silver one from the Swigart Museum, and a black one labelled as Preston Tucker's personal car at the Peterson Museum in LA back in 1997. Any help here will also be appreciated!

The car you saw at the Gast Museum was Tucker Serial Number 1024. The car in New Jersey is now owned by Charlo DeLorenzo 27 Center St. Butler, NJ 07405. Just don't believe all he will tell you about the car. It was in Richmond, CA for the movie but sat in the back area of the building was was not used in any of the scenes in the movie. The car that he refers to as Tucker 1051 is actually body #54 that was purchased in 1952/53 by Clyde Poll of Zeeland Mi. from Ezra Schlipf. The body was never on the assembly line and was minus doors, fenders, and many other items. Mr. Poll started to build the car but gave up and sold it incomplete to DeLorenzo. DeLorenzo completed the car and has displayed it as one of the cars in the movie. This is not so.
The Swigart Museum has the original Maroon 1947 Tin Goose that has no serial number and Tucker Serial Number 1013 which is a light blue.

Richard,

Thank you very much for the information. I take it from what you supplied, he allows people to see his car? My 12 year-old son has never seen one in person and, while not a car nut like me, would love to see one. I will send Carlos a letter and ask if we can arrange a visit.

Any idea what Tucker I saw at the Peterson Museum back in 1997? It was labelled as being Preston's personal Tucker and had emblems and other items on it that never made it to production. Back then I didn't even realize there were serial numbers to identify the cars by, otherwise I would have gotten the ones from the Tucker's I've seen.

Thanks for the info and what a great forum! I've been in love with the Tucker ever since the movie came out in 1988 - and I was 13 years-old at the time! To this day the Tucker has remained my most favorite car of all time.
