Discovered doing web research: The owner of Tucker car 1028, Frank Spain, died Tuesday April 25, 2006 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a brief illness. His obituary provides background on his impressive life accomplishments at http://www.wtva.com/spain/index.htm Car 1028 is on display at the museum he founded, the Tupelo Automobile Museum (see http://www.tupeloautomuseum.com/).

the WTVA link you gave didn't work.

Yes, that was a great collection, as far as I know the first Duesenberg i'd ever seen first hand, and a hispano suiza, and a talbot lago not to mention 1028. I'll try to post all my pictures of that museum. I picked up an article on that this weekend that my folks had kept out for me that i'll scan thru and see what all it said, it was from a local paper in that area.

Not sure why my cut and paste did not work for the web address in my first post. I just went back to the reference site and will paste in below the web address: http://www.wtva.com/spain/index.htm

Hope it works this time (it is still up at the site).
