Is anyone going to see #1033 this weekend in Maine?

Just wondering if anyone is going to Paris, ME on July 17, 2010 for the 32nd Annual Founders Day celebration from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Robert & Sandra Bahre open up their car collection once a year for viewing. This 60+ vehicle collection features Packards, Duesenbergs, Stutz Bearcats, and Tucker #1033. http://www.hamlin.lib.me.us/founders_day.htm

If anyone is going, I would appreciate if you could find out the serial number on the spare Tucker engine that is on display, (see picture below). It would be a great help as we continue to track down Tucker parts. The serial number will be on the block right near where the distributor goes into it. A photo of the number would be REALLY great.

So exactly where on the block is the serial number on a Tucker engine?

Here are a couple pix of a 1950/60's vintage Franklin O-335-50 engine at a local helicopter museum. There are more numbers cast and stamped into the block than pi! Maybe because it's for an aircraft(?), but going through each one would be helpful. I'm assuming this engine's serial number is E600504 (both stamped on the tag and into the block). The serial number, I presume, would be stamped and not cast...

Most Tucker motors have a number near the distributor that begins with 335 such as 335-16 which would
be the motor that is in Tucker #1017. A few motors have numbers like 4. There may be up to 150 Tucker
Motors. I've documented up through 335-98 but have found none above that. Richard Jones would be the
expert on Tucker motors. Maybe if he has a moment he can give a better answer.

It seems that most Tucker owners picked up a spare motor over the years. With several owners having more
than one car it is not clear if the same spare motors are still with certain cars or if some owners may have
bought cars that had spare engines and then sold them without the spare, keeping it for their other car.

I do not know the actual number of engines that were aassembled for Tucker Corp. however i do know that after the plant closed they disassembled several engines and put the parts back in stock. I have verified Tucker engine 335110 and Tucker engine 335113 that is the only ones I know of with the 3 numbers following the 335. Dave Cammack has 335113 .
