Wanted: Someone to research Tucker in Lansing, MI for us!!!

We want to apply for a Michigan State Marker where the Tucker home once stood in Lincoln Park, Michigan. 1314 Warwick Street, Lincoln Park to be exact.

Our problem is that we do not know what years exactly that Preston Tucker & his family lived in the home. We know: a) home was owned by Preston's mother from about 1926 - 1958 when City of Lincoln Park bought it. b) We know that Preston, Vera & family lived in the home until 1940. c) we know that Preston lived in the home when in 1935 he formed Miller-Tucker Inc. with legendary racecar engine designer Harry A. Miller.

We need see if the State of Michigan (state archives or state library) has an annual report for Miller-Tucker Inc. If so, it could show the 1314 Warwick Street address. And if there is someone else in Lansing that you think would be good to search for information.

We would pay for any copies.

Preston Tucker ran for Mayor of Lincoln Park in 1935 too.
And was a Lincoln Park Police Officer
And good friends to William A. Mellus of the Mellus Newspapers.

It would be nice if we could complete the application soon! TACA Convention comes to Lincoln Park in June of 2008. 2 year wait approximately for Michigan State Markers!

Thanks,

Leslie Lynch-Wilson
