Oregon Tucker c.1986

Postby RokonBob » Sat Jul 08, 2006 1:58 pm

Around 1986 I bought a nice old Harley with a sidecar from a Mr. Stone near Independence, Ore. He was quite a character and had an impressive collection of cars and motorcylces. Amongst his collection was a Tucker. He was always more than happy to start it up and made a little production of it by hollering "contact!" just before starting it. At the time I bought the Harley, he offered the Tucker to me for (I think, it has been a long time) $25,000. Seemed pretty steep at the time. Anyway, I did get a nice picture of my dad next to the car and I was wondering whatever happened to that Tucker and what serial number it is.

Thanks,
Bob

You saw Tucker 1034

Clayton Stone owned Tucker 1034. It is privately owned. However, you can see pictures of it the "See a Tucker" part of this web site (or paste in this web address: http://www.tuckerclub.org/html/display_ ... mber=1034&). The present owner has taken the car to at least one TACA Convention that I know of (Chicago, 1991).
