My uncle (Harry Messinger) was the second dealership/distribitorship to sign up in New Jersey (South Bound Brook). He built a show room for them, bought company stock, and acquired quite a bit of "goodies" as they came available from the company (traveled many times back and forth to Chicago for meetings and tours). One of the highlights of his dream of being a Tucker dealer was the two day visit he had of a real Tucker automobile at the site of his dealership. Much excitement was caused by the car and people came from miles around to see it. I have photos taken of the car and the crowd at the time.
My question is (my uncle has passed on several years ago), when did those cars go out and visit the dealerships? Were there several of them out and about being shown to the local towns? Any idea about which car(s) number that was acutally used? Must have been late 1948 or early 1949??
