My family volunteers to help elderly who are sick and in need of support. Recently, we helped one of the women we look after move into a new place. During the move out, we discovered a lot of items that dealt with Tucker Auto. It appears that her father was a mechanic and was deeply interested in the cars.

The bulk of what we found were letters of correspondence between Mr. Pearson, the V.P. of Tucker Auto at the time. There are also pamphlets, purchase orders, articles and even a few books.

The woman we helped moved is pretty poor. It was my hope that some of this stuff could be sold to collectors and the rest donated to the museum. Is this stuff worth anything and would the museum want it?

Any help is appreciated,

Tucker items

Postby TuckerHCL » Tue Aug 30, 2005 2:28 pm

Herman -

We would be very interested in learning more about the items you found during this move. The Tucker Automobile Club of America maintains its archives - the Tucker Historical Collection and Library (HCL) at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI. It is items such as these that we seek to tell the story of the cars and the people.

Please feel free to contact me directly at TuckerHCL@TuckerClub.org
