Joe: Interesting question. From my 20 years of being a business school dean, I can tell you that most companies of the era of the Tucker Corporation did not have vision, mission and value statements as we know them today. I am not aware of such specific statements with the Tucker Corporation. However, if you study Preston Tucker and his company it does not take you long to realize that he in fact had a very definite vision of what his car ought to be and the value proposition for the potential consumer. I submit that this makes for a better set of corporate vision, mission and value statements than is true for many modern corporations with very specific, detailed statements with mediocre products and/or value propositions.
