New Tucker

B"H
Good Luck! A private company was able to make full-scale fiberglass replicas of the Tucker. As I understand it, they made 51 and then stopped so their car would be valuable. I think they used Chevy engines and trannies.

A gentleman named Roy Gullickson bought the rights to the Packard Motor Car Company and actually built a prototype Packard sedan in 1999 which received a lot of positive feedback. However, he has been trying to raise money to put his car into production and I don't think he's been able to raise enough to get started.

My dream is to buy the rights to the Packard and build a car with the heritage of the last Packard, the '56 models, with the same model names and body styles as they were buildeng back then (Patrician Sedan, 400 hardtop, and Caribbean convertible). It would have a hybrid gas-electric with an OHC V8, push-button Ultramatic transmission, and maybe even torsion bar suspension. Both Tucker and Packard were magnificent automobiles that dared to be different in an era of conformity...Bill H.
Yeah, I remember that Packard Centennial. In fact, I even bought the calendar/brochure of it. As I recall, Gilluckson ran into some trouble with the Packard Club because some of them were not too receptive of his car. After that, they got into some dispute over who owned the rights to the name and logo, etc, and Gilluckson tried to stop the club from using it.

I wonder what ever happened to that whole thing. The website is still up, but hasn't changed a bit in 6 years....
Hey dude-
I've been in love with the Tucker as far as I can remember.
My personal dream is to biuld a steel replica when I get the means and location. Certainly such a venture would require help from others who love the car as much as I.
