Back in 1969, British Motors Corporation of San Francisco had #1029 on its showroom floor for sale. The car
was advertised at $8,500 and was sold to Jack Bart of New York for $6,750.
At that time, British Motors had a second Tucker that was being prepared to sell. Any ideas what car that
would have been? How did they acquire it and who bought it from them?

Sorry that I can't contribute any answers to your questions but here's some trivia about BM:
They were originally the Earle C. Anthony Packard dealership. They later sold Edsels (talk about jumping out of the frying pan!). I recall a brand new early 80's, never sold nor titled Maserati Quattroporte sitting in their showroom in the late 80's that they had reduced the price to $10k! (IIRC) That was cheap even then!
