We are working on car # 1015 and would like to find the correct style vent window rubbers. We have ordered some for Packards but these were not close. Would appreciate any help on what to use for this application. Thanks, Bruce

I went through my records and found that back in 1987 a company called Karr Rubber Mfg in El Segundo CA. was making these for club members. They made a die that they used to make a set for Curtis Foester, the owner of #1005 & #1050, and later made a set for #1036.

The good news is that Karr Rubber is still in business in El Segundo right where they were in 1987. They have a website now, http://karrrubber.com/ They used to charge $24.00 per side but I'm guessing that has changed.

Russ Brownell had seen these at the time and thought they looked very good. He said they were partially formed at the front sharp bend and need further forming there as well as trimming to make them left and right. Russ said wet sanding them where they were trimmed made them look very good.

Hope that helps and good luck with #1015 !
