Tucker radio # 24059 would have been manufactured around June 15th 1948. It is one of the earliest serial number radios we have on record at this point. The radio appears to be all beat to hell and the speaker looks like it was sawed out of the car BUT the sale does include those all important cables which without them the radio won't do much.
The price went to $810.00 and didn't meet the reserve.
If the price of these radios keeps going up I might just sell mine and take a trip to Maui.........

looks like I got mine just in time. This has got to be an anomaly. I have seen NOS ones sell for that range or even half that in the last year.

Why any radio MIB would ever exceed $500 is beyond me. I am thinking about selling my entire collection.

I see it has been relisted now with a manufacture date of 6/21/1948.

I'm not convinced that the speaker from a Willys is the same as the speaker that was
sold with the Tucker radio. I suppose the bonus with this one is you get a piece of
Willys dashboard to go with it.
Does anyone have a photo of the back of a "Genuine Tucker" speaker? I just went through my pictures
and I must have 20 photos but all taken from the front.

What am I missing here? It still went for $672.00 with the wrong speaker although I'll bet they
wished they had removed the reserve from the first auction where it went to $810.00

Then a few hours later a complete almost flawless NOS Tucker radio with an antenna sells for $570.00
