Tucker Wanted!

Postby Mack531 » Thu Nov 29, 2007 11:14 pm

Hello, everyone!
I have a friend with very deep pockets who has always thought of
Mr. Tucker as one of his heroes. He is a very busy man, and travels extensively. He has asked that if anyone knows of an owner with one of the classic Tucker cars that is available for sale, that you contact me at your earliest convenience. He is extremely interested in making a purchase and can pay immediately. Authentication and/or documentation of any claim will be requested. markmccandlish@c-zone.net
Thank you!

Your request says "deep pockets." Deep pockets to one person is pennies to another. What are we talking about in dollars?

Wanted: Tucker For Sale

Postby Mack531 » Fri Dec 07, 2007 3:56 am

Dear Clem,

Sorry not to reply sooner. One would think that price is set by the
seller; not by the buyer. Do you actually have an original, documentable
Tucker automobile for sale? To my knowledge, well-maintained examples have sold for between $300K to somewhere in the neighborhood of a half mil. Provided the car can be authenticated in good, original condition or by a professional restoration to original condition and is not a basket case rotting in someone's leaky barn, my friend can afford this without a problem. The question remains: What does the seller want, and does the condition of the vehicle warrant this kind of price?
