The Movie/Soundtrack Promotion

When I watched the movie when it first came out in the theaters (of course I have the video too) I was just fascinated. At the end, however, I kind of thought it was a whirlwind of an autobiography and the history of the car. I guess when you can't get enough of this fascination, you feel like nothing could be too complete. I would have been much more satisfied if the movie was as long as Gone With The Wind and Titanic put together.
The soundtrack on A&M Records w/Joe Jackson was fantastic as well. I would have thought it would have been easier to compile era recordings as a compilation, but to assign Jackson to score was a wise move. I work at a radio station, and tried to co-ordinate with A&M to synchronise promotional giveaways in the lobby of the theater, but my hometown independent theater never seems to know far enough in advance when a movie comes, so I couldn't give A&M the time I needed.
