Well, I should tell you a little about myself.
Not only do I know alittle about the Tucker, I'm sort of what you might call, obsessed with Tucker. Not just the car, but the man and the philosphy. I look around at the other car companies, and can only imagine what could have been.
I went to school to learn to be a designer, I got my masters in Industrial Design from Auburn Univ. I've met contacts in various automotive areas that could make things happen. I think now would be the time to make things happen, Even if only as a limited production run, and mainly experiemental to show what should be.
I want to return the Tucker to the roads, not just a replica, but a whole new car, for 2008, with the philosophy of Tucker behind it. Detroit is giving us cars that may be safer than they once were, but just aren't ethically where Tucker would have been. Why are we still Gas dependant, when a High school class in Philedelphia built a BioDiesel Hybrid sports car that gets 50mpg and does 0-60 in 4 sec?
I'm putting together a presentation, and would like to produce scale models, and if my current employer will let me, i have most of the tools to go fullsize with a mock-up and the possibility of a rather unrefined driving mock-up.
I've thought the entire buisness out, far beyond the car, but the sales, the longevity, the customer relations, and even the company management/employee relationship.
I'd like to run some ideas past a few people if anyone is willing to listen and critique. I will ask for some sort of confidentiality/non-compete agreement on the info/concepts I discuss, but other than that, if anyone would be interested in being involved, That would be wonderful.
These are some very rough sketches and CAD renderings, but it gives you an idea of my dirrection.
