I'm sure it's become apparent to many of you that we've been having some problems with spammers lately.

This Bulletin Board System does not have much protection against this type of thing, and to make matters worse, the spammers are actually creating user accounts.

Please bear with me if some of these postings are not removed immediately.

Just kidding. I can only check the board so often, but rest assured I will delete them as soon as I see them.

People:

Please do NOT reply to the spam postings. I have to delete these things one posting at a time. That means if you reply to a post, my work doubles.

Please leave them alone, and I will delete them as soon as I see them.

Thanks

Joe,
Is it still ok to let you know when I find one and send it to you?
Thanks, Eric

While looking over this forum today, I noticed that I had a website posted under my profile. I had not put anything on my profile when I set up my acount. It was for an MP3 download site. Are these spammers capable of getting into our accounts? Do you know how it could have been put there?

They can't get into your accounts without your password.
