Tucker Radio

When the Tucker company was selling "dealerships" they had no cars to present to potential dealers. They would have maybe one car in an area, then before the car was to be displayed at the next "dealers" place of business they would paint it. "I saw a red one, well I saw a blue one, etc." After the "dealer plunked down a payment, Tucker would send out radios to be dealer installed in the '48's when they arrived. They also sent out fitted luggage, all in an attempt to keep the "dealer" satisfied. My father was a "dealer", although no new Tuckers were sold through the dealership.

Tucker Radio

I have seen Tucker radios, radio fronts, seat covers and luggage on e-bay. Some are listed still in the box (with photos) It isn't uncommon for these items to show up there, it is just a matter of having that winning bid. Recently there was a banner designed for a Tucker dealership sold on e-bay. Age and storage had not been kind to it, but it was a nice piece still. Good luck on your search.
