I think, anyway. The details are a bit sketchy, but if I'm reading this right, then it's for use in either a standard transmission or one like Tucker was working on.
This design for controlling a split torque transmission having a hydrostatic and mechanical transmission utilizes control feedback to compensate for changing operating conditions. Included in the design are the steps of monitoring the transmission input speed, output speed of the hydrostatic transmission, and the output speed of the mechanical transmission.
