Convertible????

Postby RLM1967 » Tue Jul 19, 2005 1:40 pm

Recently I met an older gentleman who claims to have a car that was unfinished from the Tucker factory. I saw this car briefly because it was under plastic and this is a convertible. Now, my question is, was there any convertibles being made or was this a prototype or was this all a big hoax to make me believe something I don't know a whole lot about?

That's the million dollar question. I've seen it too, but Tucker historians insist that no such convertible was ever in the works by the Tucker Corporation. There were a few Tremulis concept drawings, but no evidence that any convertible was ever commissioned.

So yes, Allan does have 75% of a Tucker convertible but no proof that it was built by the factory. And in the world of collector cars, documentation is everything.
