The "Tin Goose"

Postby awgcord@yahoo.com » Wed Apr 13, 2005 10:27 am

in the late 60's I was over at Bill Hamlins whe he got a phone call from somone in the Chicago area. They were asking questions on Tucker automobiles. Bill got quite excited and asked if the Tucker being described was for sale and if so he would like to purchase it.
When the person on the other end asked what was so different about this Tucker, Bill explained that this car was the original prototype refered to as "the Tin Goose". The main difference was the hinging of the rear doors at the front and not the back as all of the production Tuckers are.
The person then said that he was in the prosess of buying the Tucker and he did not want to sell it at that time.
