1010 and 1035

I haven't posted in a while and normally if nobody write anything, there is nothing to report. I was just curious as to anything out of Brazil on 1035, progress, maybe someone purchased the car? I saw the photos on 1010. I was wondering how it was progressing as well.

Tucker #1035 is owned by the City of Caçapava in Brazil. It will never be sold. They plan a mild restoration of the car to get it into a condition where it can be shown. It will not be returned to a rear engine. It would take a lot of fabrication to do so and the cars history in Brazil is mostly as a front engine car.

I've been working with my good friend Rodrigo there and have dug up an extensive history on the car including several previously unknown owners and even the guy that actually did the conversion to the Cadillac drivetrain for the owner at the time. Also tons of pictures from back in the fifties of the car.

Tucker #1010 is coming along. The new owner does not wish to be identified at this time however the car is in good hands.

Thanks 48,

I enjoy reading the posts and viewing the photos. That's good 1035 is in good hands and going to be displayed in Brazil. Besides 1010, are the any left that need to be completed?

The discussions on the convertible are interesting and seems to be the results of what's left of three or four cars and frame or two if I understood what has been posted. It sure would have been neat to see 1057 put back with the wrap around rear glass as there is the photo evidence it existed.

Again, I enjoy the information.
