Prestons Jeepster?

Does anyone know anything about a Jeepster with a Cadilac engine that Preston may have owned?

I once stumbled across a brief article about a remarkable hot rod owned by Preston Jr. I don't remember the details, but it might be the car you're thinking of.

Preston Jr's hot rod was a 32 Ford. It is now owned by the LeMay's who own Tucker #1007. Junior sold it in 1948 to Len Williams who put a surplus boeing turbine engine in it. The October 1962 issue of Science & Mechanics had a nice article on it. Also Car Life in January 1963.

An interesting note on this car is that it has no reverse. (Where have we heard that before?)

Junior had two 32 Fords that he sold. The LeMay/Williams turbo car is not the same 32 Ford Junior advertised for sale in the May 1949 issue of Hot Rod magazine.
