Yes, I DID see that show tonight, and was kinda looking for it, after seeing the sneak previews last week. I'm not too crazy about the format of the show or the host, but they have some interesting items on it. I didn't know if I would be the first to post on this topic, but I knew it would make it here somehow! What a gorgeous car... do you know whose it was? I'll bet our club members had something to do with getting the car on that show.

It looked like 1043 to me, and that's Ron Pratte's car (formerly, Tim Durham, Mark Lieberman, Al Reinert). Apparently the producers contacted TACA several months ago, but then called back and said they would be using a car that Barrett-Jackson had. All that said, I don't think B-J had any connection to 1043.

Here's another link to the episode online. http://www.myfitv.com/videos/1379518/it ... cker-shock

Although I only saw the teasers and not the actual show itself; I'll weigh on on this one...

Reality shows disgust me. Although most shows are true "reality" shows, that show real situations, Discovery's "Dirty Jobs" is the exception to the rule, most of them have instances of being scripted.

A friend of mine worked on the series "Axe Men" of which a good portion is filmed here in Oregon. He has kept some of the "treatments" from his time with the production. They outline scenes (locations) to be filmed for the day. Although not technically a script, they do contain a certain amount of "dialog" or situations. Some scenes are re-shot for "continuity" purposes. They call this "creative or dramatic license" and it happens more often than not. He has also worked on the production of "American Pickers" and says there have been instances of set-ups in some of the rare finds.

Anti-disclosure agreements and copyright laws prevent posting any real material from these "reality" shows anywhere on the internet and social networking sites, but I have seen the ones from "Axe Men" and let me tell you, they are far from reality, when the writers (and producers) will instigate in-fighting among the "stars" for these so-called dramatic licensing purposes.

If these shows are supposedly "Reality Programming", why do they have writers? Sorry, I know it's a little off topic, but it does fit in somewhere here.....

I will watch the show until something pops out that it's been scripted or set-up, then I will not watch again if it's so obvious that even a 12 year old can spot it. Another is "American Restoration", one of the most unbelievable shows there is............ On that note, I agree wholeheartedly with Natalie!

Hear, hear. Though I will cop to the fact that Amy from TLC's LA Ink did my Tucker tattoo... The one thing that's not "fake" about that show is her talent as an artist.

Umm.... Well..... I guess in the interest for all things Tucker, well, I suppose, maybe you might want to share her artistry? There's no doubt you'll get better ratings than "It's Worth What?", and ten times the viewers as well.

OK...just so you don't think I'm full of it, here you go. It's in a difficult-to-photograph area as it wraps around the curvier part of my calf (yeah, it's bigger than I was thinking it would be, and I’m only 4’11). So there are three pics to show the detail.

The tattoo is a fantasy Tucker -- basically a nod to the NASCAR Tucker, Jenin’s traveling show, and the early ‘50s Marshall Teague “Fabulous Hudson Hornet.” Oh, and the “13” is for the first (but hopefully not last) Tucker I got to sit in...1013.

Nothing scandalous, sorry!

I don't see the appeal of getting permanent markings made on one's body. Many of the young people I know have either tattoos or body piercings, and it makes me cringe. I don't see the need. One young cashier used to get an additional tattoo about every two weeks, and it saddened me. She's an attractive girl who doesn't need that, in my view. But it's her body, after all. She asked what I thought of them, and I was honest with her.
