It appears to be fiction. The third review is by someone who claims to have worked in the Dodge plant and calls the book fiction. Somewhere around here, I posted a link to a newspaper article about a guy who was writing a novel about Tucker. From what I can recall of the description of the article, it sounds to me like that they are one in the same.

Kilo-Quad Tucker Treasure is a thinly veiled 40 year history, concentrating 1st on the Dodge plant; 2nd on Tucker; 3rd on Tootsie roll industries the current owners. Ford is mentioned ony briefly. The BW Spider plot is fictional. (which disapointed me when a former Dodge employee told me the plant was real clean.) I was hoping there really might have been an insect problem to make the plot more compelling. Tuckers' price for machinery ppg 132 133 was taken directly out of a factory record coming form the Great Lakes Archives located on 72 and Pulaski Ave which in 1947 was on Tuckers' plant grounds. Tuckers' production records of 140 cars produced per day for the first 4 months and 300/day, afterwards with 60.000 total per annum altogether were likewise taken from the archives. There were over 30 cardboard boxes filled with court papers at the archives. Tucker truly was a walking Lawsuit!
I worked R & D TRI for three years. and have an intimate knowledge of the plant, including the kilometer long tunnels were the tucker treasure was hidden.
