Tucker Mileage

Does anyone have a record/ database mileage for each Tucker? Which one has the least mileage? The most? Just curious if anybody knows.....Another question: Which Tucker is the most pristine or original. Condition is not necessarily a factor for originality, but what I'm getting at, is which one is in the best shape and is closest to original. I know these are broad questions, but someone here surely knows. Sorry, if these are repeat questions, but in searching, I could not find anything.

Over the past few years I've collected every tidbit of information on the cars. My database does include reported mileage at various periods on each car. Most of this was originally collected by Richard Jones, Bill Hamlin, Russ Brownell, Larry Clark, and others. Some came from for sale ads and magazine articles. I have spent thousands of hours collecting Tucker information. Each car is unique and valuable in its own way so the answer is not as simple as it may seem. #1050 with only 0.02 actual miles is probably the answer you are looking for. Since each Tucker is different from every other Tucker it would be hard to say which is the most original. All 50, or 51 or 52 or soon 53 depending on how you count them, are original.

Thanks for the reply- I see what you mean about each and every one is unique, but what I was wondering, are there some that are as they left the Chicago plant, i.e. original bushing, u-joints, tires, paint etc.etc.. I know this is an odd question, but I've seen cars from GM, Ford, Chrysler that were mass produced and are almost 100%, down to the actual air in the tires form the factory. I'm not trying to be difficult, but just curious.

First off, many left the plant unfinished without motors or transmissions. Cars like #1050 had no interior. Second, many Tuckers left the plant and came back to be completely reworked so could they still be considered original. Third, everyone that did run was used as a prototype and was driven many miles so when they left the plant they were basically a used car. Drivetrains were swapped from car to car. As parts were found to not work others were installed that did. #1034 might be close to what it was although it was recently painted. #1031 is a pretty original looking car. #1016 has had at least one restoration. Completely original doesn't exist and maybe never did.

I vote for 1047 as the most original off the assembly line original. Any thoughts?

#1047 has been repainted at least twice. I believe #1031 and #1034 have only been repainted once. #1016 has been painted at least once but possibly more.
