I must be missing something. Please inform...my curiousity in piqued. And another thing, what is with the 99 cents angle bracket holding the dash/ radio up. It also appears to be damaged in the upper right corner of the housing. Any theories. Not trying to be critical, but again..my curiousity is piqued!
Number #1019 is a paint code #500 car which is Grey. The dashboard has come loose in a pretty
common place for a Tucker. In the article Deb mentions she doesn't have the money to restore
the car properly. This might be an example of what the car needs. The original radio head would
have had dash mounted controls and a 1-2-3-4-5-M head. This head was only used in the first 25
or so cars and very few of them still have the proper head in them.
If you search the site for paint code Richard's list has been posted many times. It's been published
the Topics a few times over the years and it is in the Milestone Car and several other sources.
As for the Wikipedia article it has so many errors it is basically worthless in my opinion. I know
that a few people from our site have repaired it only to have uninformed people change it. It was
cleaned up a couple years ago but when I looked at it now I could not believe what a mess it is again.
The colors were posted incorrectly back on 12/31/09 by someone with only an IP address. If you want
information on Tuckers that article is the last place you'd want to look.
