Thanks to the many people who submitted facts about the original manufacturer's plate and the miracles of a computer, I was able to complete plates for 1017. The reproduction does not have the original creases, but the plate will look sharp when the car is on display.

Very cool. While plate numbers had no correlation to car numbers "back in the day," it would be fun if all of the Tucker cars now had a manufacturer plate, original or new, matching their number. Has anyone developed a list of those current Tucker cars with an original matching license plate number?

I started a list awhile back in an attempt to locate as many plates as possible.
So far the only matching cars and plates I have are #1005 and #1021. There are
a few replias on cars. I'm sure there are more out there. I thought Ray Burton
had #04 when he owned #1004 but hard to say where it is now.
#1034 has a 1949 #34 plate on it.
