I've seen photos of it before but never heard that story.
It sure looks a lot like a modified 71-73 Buick Riviera.
When will the madness stop !!!!

I remember the article in Topics years ago. It is built from a Riviera. The hood and grilles are LaSalle.

Fugly. Should have kept it a Riviera, one of the better looking cars from that era.

Better still, if you're going to carve up a Riviera and put a Tucker emblem on it, then build a Talisman. After all, it looks like that's where the idea of the Riviera came from:

Not the most cohesive result, still.... I can get behind someone building their 'homage' to a particular design (frankly, I too have always been intriqued by that 3/4 rear view of the clay)... just don't bother to state things like 'followed the blueprints exactly'. Anyone who can read blueprints and build a unique finished car should be able to realize it's far from "exact".

This clipping from June 13, 1993 in The Sunday Enterprise (Brockton, Mass) is probably the most comprehensive description of the car. As Roy Tucker says: “I had my doubts while trying to build it, but I just stuck with it and tested it and tested it and tested it until the results were the way I wanted them” (emphasis added). I'll post Chrissie's response shortly...
