Vote for Tucker!

Postby Tuckerfan1053 » Sun Dec 19, 2010 1:30 pm

The Smithsonian is holding a contest to vote for cars in its collections and the two top vote getters will be displayed prominently in the museum for a month. The museum's page on Tucker and the contest is here: http://blog.americanhistory.si.edu/osay ... -1948.html

Voting opens Dec. 21st, and given that Tuckers were built in Chicago, I think its only appropriate that I suggest folks vote early and vote often!

Voting's started! http://blog.americanhistory.si.edu/osay ... e-car.html

Right now, the Tucker's in the lead, with one of Harry Miller's race cars in second place! (I think it'd be appropriate if the two top vote getters were the Tucker and Miller cars, don't you?)

The Tucker's dropping. Its now down to 32.5, with Miller gaining at 32.1. You can vote more than once, if you know what you're doing. Just use a different browser (or clear your cache and cookies before you go back) and it'll let you vote again. I've voted 4 times for the Tucker!

WE NEED YOUR VOTE!

The Tucker is now in second place to the Miller.

You can vote directly from the main TACA page (click on the postcard) or by going to here http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/429069/69286a5f6ba9

Our members were able to get the Tucker donated to the Smithsonian by their letter writing campaign - WE CAN DO IT AGAIN!

Thanks

Guys,

Another way to vote multiple times is to use your InPrivate Filtering in Internet Explorer (Tools -> InPrivate Filtering) or Incognito Window in Google Chrome)

Given the combination of the history of #1039 and...um...certain references made on this board, I think there is a joke in here...somewhere...

No, that's the DeLorean Board, two doors down.

Hey, let the Miller win. They're taking the top 2 cars and the Olds ain't gonna pick up 25%. Besides, I'm voting for the stupid electric car anyway.

OK, just did my bit and voted for the ol' torpedo, but don't you think that voting more than once is a little dishonest or am I just being a Pollyana? Torpedohead
