Hello!
Today I decided to dive into the many pages of Tucker memorabilia that came to me with #1031. In notes from Charles Pearson to Jay Busker, "Charlie" tells Jay of a guy with 10-11 Tucker's bringing displaying them as a show November 15-25th of 1965 in Chicago. Jay went and took a few photos... These are gonna blow you all away!
Regards,
Eric

Eric,
WOW! These pix really show what a commitment Jenin made to preserve these cars. Not just financially and mechanically, but the space required is HUGE to show them off properly (not to mention storage).
It may just be a color correction issue, but the "Hemi Orange" Tucker is growing on me (and so far ahead of its time)...
Any chance you've got some closeups of a certain test frame, perhaps?

The pics I posted are all the originals Jay Busker had in his scrapbook. I have heard more pics may exist. But I provided what I had! Maybe someone else out there has some of those photos?
You make an interesting point. It seems to me that Jenin was way ahead of his time in regards to Tucker collecting. He obviously had respect for the story. It's that story that sucks you in! The other thing that dawned on me is that everyones made money off the "Tucker" except the Tucker himself!

Eric,
That "Hemi Orange" was one of Nick's paint jobs. It was done on Tucker Serial Number 1026, the Tucker with the R-1 automatic transmission installed. Warren Rice designed this transmission and was working on later versions of it when the plant closed. Rice later went to work at Buick. Nick said that he put new upholstery and repainted all of the cars he owned. He also said that there was a strong possibility that the data plates were not put back on the cars they came from after the vehicles were repainted.

Hey -
Do you know if this one of the official "Fabulous Tuckers" exhibits? Or was it part of some other show?
