The problem is Tuckers don't 'flood' or flock to anywhere anymore, so we have to take the conventions to the cars. If you can line up a couple Tuckers in Texarkana, then it may be a viable location.

Actually that makes me sad, I was sort of hoping that more of the cars would be present at these meatings. but i guess that it makes sence about that because they are expensive cars and not many would want to bring them out and risk dammaging them.
OK. Are there any Tucker owners (at least 2-the more the merrier) out there who are willing to transport your Tuckers to Texarkana for the national 2011 meet? I wonder who all would be the closest? If one of a kind Motorama cars made it to our Texarkana museum, how about some Tuckers? Again we are centrally located. Also the first portable, working Tucker radio will already be in Texarkana and waiting! Charles D. Barnette-don't you think there is a musical ring to the phrase "Tuckers in Texarkana"? The abbreviation for this phrase is "TNT"-could be an explosive situation. Hey I just saw the movie "Secretariat", thus I am dreaming to make the impossible a reality! With that in mind let's commit to having "ten" Tuckers in Texarkana!
Unfortunately Charles you are probably out of luck on getting a convention there. The nearest cars are #1050 and #1028 and they are 350 miles away. After that there are a couple at 700+ miles. The only cars that you'd even have a shot at would be the few that are privately owned as the museum cars rarely get out.
As was said earlier, the conventions now usually have to go to where the cars are rather than the cars coming to the conventions.
At this time there is a pretty large number of cars around the LA area and as a club we should take advantage of that as I'm sure we'll continue to see them leaving and we'll probably never have to opportunity we'll have in 2011 again.
For 2012 & 2013 we should consider Denver CO. and Paris Hill ME. as many other parts of the country have seen conventions over the years already.
