Interesting. When these were on E-Bay two months ago they were owned by Steve at Elliott's Silver Lady Antiques, 515 E Fremont St. Tombstone, AZ. 520-457-3933 and the parts were in Elk River MN.

Now they've gone to Richard Blomquist, 608-780-8229, at White Glove Collection in La Crosse, WI and turned from fiberglass into steel. They've also gone from replica parts used in the movie to "real Tucker parts left over when production ceased".

The pictures are the same as in the Elk River listing and the number of parts seem to be the same. The price has dropped from $10,000 starting bid for the two lots to $8,000.

Also here is a new "fact" that I know that nobody here ever heard before, "In the movie they hung replicated sheet metal on 70's Monte Carlos". We'll soon
see those Tucker/Montes on E-Bay for around 5 million dollars as they would be REAL rare.

This is from the White Glove Collection website, ( I swear it is, even I couldn't make this up) At White Glove Collection ... Our commitment to quality and passion for rarity and historical accuracy makes our collection truly unique in the world of classic cars.

I spoke with the seller and he states he was given mis-information (so HE says). He says he will correct the listing as well as the website. He also admitted they are fiberglass. I wonder why these guys waste their own time listing items for other people, especially without doing research either on the authenticity or accuracy of such items. Having been an ebay member since it's inception, I have been asked repeatedly to list things for people, to this day I refuse to do so. It's just not worth the headache.
If you didn't get dirty, then nothing was accomplished!

interesting that the frame grab from the movie is the same one that was posted here about the original auction.

For Sale:

Genuine Tucker Movie Car. Used in the movie "Tucker, A Man and His Dreams"

In the movie they hung replicated sheet metal on 70's Monte Carlos to make
them appear to be 1948 Tuckers. In fact the these Tucker/Monte replicas were
so close in detail to the real thing the movie producers had to bring in two
Tucker experts to keep the cars from getting mixed up. As you'll see in the
photo below even they would have a hard time telling them from the real deal.

This 1970 Monte Carlo was used in several scenes in the movie. It is said that
this is the only surviving replica from the movie and that Jeff Bridges used this
as his personal car during the filming.

The Monte has been certified authentic in an affidavit from Master Restorer
Yankin Urchain that says: "in early 1988, I saw the chassis and many sheet metal
parts for the Tucker/Monte Replica. I also saw that the body was stamped # 57
and its frame was reinforced at that time. I have also recently seen and inspected
the Tucker/Monte Replica and verified its authenticity."

There is also a letter from accountant Mel Koeppen saying he wanted to get
Jeff Bridges autograph which proves the car is genuine.

The car has been completely restored and is now in Wisconsin (where else?)
and is For Sale at a price of Five Million Dollars.

It probably explains all those junk yard Tucker sightings we've had over the years.

They were really just Monte Carlos that were mistaken for Tuckers.

It would still be nice to have the parts to build replica Tuckers with them. If I had the money at this time I would buy the parts and make a MonteTucker or something else Tucker out of them.

I always find it astounding the level of bovine excrement "slick Willies" will try to pull over a generally well informed select audience. The more self serving hyperbole (and lack of humility), the more the needle on my BS detector bends.
