What a great idea. I will come up with a great portable Tucker Radio pose and have it posted by tomorrow! Charles-shall I christen it with a champagne bottle like the "Tin Goose" was?

I don't think that's covered in your warranty.

My repairman has now returned my Tucker radio to me after final repairs. Special thanks goes to Richard (Plancor 792) and to Tucker Fan 48-without their help this project to restore a Tucker radio would have been impossible.

Glad you were able to put those cables to good use. One thing I've learned is a Tucker radio always works better with a set of cables connected between the head and the radio.

OK, the pictures showing portability of the Tucker radio are coming in the next post. Natalie will be happy to see that I am holding a "surge protector" in one hand to be used with the radio as she suggested-in the other hand is the Brooklin Tucker model. I checked with the supposed to have been Tucker dealership in Little Rock to get an answer on the warranty-by post time there had been no response. Charles-do you think I have a career in modeling (both the radio and I are 1948 models)? I need to add that when my repairman got the radio to work on he found that the inside bottom of the radio which I had purchased earlier this year in Hot Springs, Arkansas, was full of dirt dobber nests!

Awesome. I've thought of doing something similar with mine - perhaps some sort of dealership display. Haven't gotten around to it though.

Charles,

Just a suggestion but shouldn't your box be painted Waltz Blue?

That is an excellent suggestion. I told my repairman to make it portable not really knowing what form the project would take. He was not "Tucker" knowlegable. However the first Tucker I ever saw "in person" was the Henry Ford Museum Tucker, and it is black. My favorite car color is maroon! My school (Baylor) colors are green and gold. However my 1/18 scale Tucker model is green, but my 1/43rd model is gold. On second thought maybe I should just leave the box white, the color of my 71 Lincoln Mark III. Charles-Waltz Blue is beautiful I grant you!
