Im a huge fan of Pink Floyd, but I have never heard of him, he must just be mearly a musician for hire that happened to perform with The Floyd.

Yeah, but according to an article I read when Floyd released A Momentary Lapse of Reason, the regular members of the band considered the musicians hired to tour with them to be "members of the band." (The article stated that the band had as many as 14 members at one point.)

I guess that makes sence, that means he performed with them during "The Delicate Sound Of Thunder" tour in the late 1980's.
