I attended the AACA Fall Meet in Hershey, PA on Saturday and while browsing around an automobile literature vendor's booth I found the above cardboard display piece from the movie. I'm thinking it was part of a larger display for when either the VHS video was released back in the late '80s or more recently when the DVD release went on sale. The vendor wasn't sure where it came from, but sold it to me on the cheap, so I couldn't refuse. I initially wanted it, then wasn't sure what I'd do with it so I balked, then figured if I passed on it I'd probably regret it later in the day. So I bought it and got an awful look from my wife when I walked into the house with this cardboard cut-out
So, am I right in my guess in how this piece of cardboard cut-out was used? It is in really good shape, so I'm not positive that it is from the '80s. Is it something I should preserve? The vendor suggested I mount it in the "man cave" - aka garage, but I'm not sure I should be putting holes in it. If it's worthless because the rest of the display is missing, then I might just go ahead and put it up in the garage (at least the wife will like that I'm making some use of my purchase, rather than being added to the growing collection of "car stuff" in the basement).
Your thoughts, opinions, and/or advice is appreciated!!
