That does look cool. The idea I've always had would be to cut the top off of one of the 4-door sedans,
maybe #1027 since it was damaged anyway, and build a two door convertible out of it.

number 27 have been made into a convertible already but there is still the test fame with the 1018 panels on it. Well there was a Corvair station wagon with the rear engine. Maybe the Tucker would have worked the same way with the engine under the back floor.

I did this Tucker Pickup last spring in Photoshop. I made a raised area for the tailgate.

Some one photo shopped one of Rob Ida's Tucker 48 and changed the wheels and added a different top.

It does look cool, but now that you mentioned that people are going to start coming up with stories of how there was a real one that was in the R&D area when the plant closed down and now its in some barn in Michigan or some place. :lol:
