Tucker #48 Visor?

I've always wondered about the external visor over the windshield on Tucker #48. Is that a factory option or is it either aftermarket or from another make?

Fuzzy threw that on there along with the rest of the accessories. No idea where it came from - my guess is JC Whitney.

Fuzzy had some interesting ideas for embellishments to old Number 48. He put spoked wire wheels on it, installed a third brake light on the rear deck, along with a light-up sign reading "You've just been passed by a Tucker". Then there were the little plastic headlight visors. To me they made the car look cheap, but Fuzzy apparently liked them. Hey, it was his car, so he was free to do what he wanted to, but YEEESH nonetheless!

The reason I asked is I used to have a '51 Pontiac Chieftan that had a visor like that with the chrome strips in the middle, and I always figured it was a Pontiac item. I take it Fuzzy and #48 are no longer connected?

Unless I'm mistaken, Fuzzy is now busy helping Preston Tucker tinker with the angelic chariots.
