Tucker Replicas

Hi, a long-time interest in the Tucker was recently sparked quite by chance. We were planning a business trip to Milwaukee and while looking for family-friendly activities, I stumbled upon the Wisconsin Auto Museum. It just so happened that I hit on a review (http://www.streetmachineclub.com/Projec ... ?id=143954) which posted an image of #1048 although neither the article or even the museum's site make mention of the car (http://wisconsinautomuseum.com/). Getting to see a Tucker in person has been a dream of mine for 30+ years (and I'm only 39). More looking pointed me to Benchmark's site and then I found the Tucker Convertible thread here. Seems I inadvertently wandered into Tucker Country at a great time.

So I read your "Rules for Posting" and find:
NO ONE HERE WANTS TO HEAR ABOUT THE LATEST ATTEMPT TO MAKE A NEW TUCKER. SOMEONE POSTS THIS 'GREAT IDEA' ALMOST WEEKLY AND GUESS WHAT? NO ONE'S BUILT ONE. NO ONE.

Now I come to these forums understanding I likely know less about this car than everyone here. But as far as I can tell:

Reportedly there are at least three reproductions made by IDA, including the "Lower 48" http://www.robidaconcepts.com/lower48.html

The film generated at least four models http://www.flickr.com/photos/carphotosb ... otostream/

The Corvair-based Tucker/Esch Glass Goose exists (as perhaps the ORIGINAL Tucker convertible?) http://www.suarezweb.com/tuckerclub/taca1052.htm

Forum Member "Tucker" is building a Tin Goose near LA: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1424&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=225#p5179

Does "NO ONE'S BUILT ONE. NO ONE." imply that no one is building cars which are for sale? What am I missing?

My position is as long as these are not passed off as "lost originals" any publicity is good publicity. This includes anything from Matchbox cars on up.

Blessings!

PS: Thanks much for a great site. The forums are fascinating and the "See a Tucker" section of your site means I need to plan a trip to see 1015 and/or 1016 this summer.
