What's amazing about all this is I'm a volunteer at the National Archives, College Park, MD and it didn't mean anything at all to me to see all about a film there. Just randomly selected an unknown film "Tucker, The Man and His Dreams" from Netflix and it came in a week ago and I just looked at it today. It was breathtaking. So "NOW". I had to pause the film to read about it all in the Wikipedia to makes sure it was faithful. That's how I found y'all by googling additionally. Always putting the DVD on pause. Also discovered that it was part of the BIG exhibit. That jury speech at the trial, I wonder if it exists and really was legally recorded. I'd love to download it. I invested in a Prius myself last year for the same reason even though it now, a year later, has less than 3000 miles on it. It is my last Hurrah since I'll be 80 this summer. Seems so strange now that Chicago is local to the metro DC area since the beginning of this year. Not to mention "McGowan Theater" and what it means to us all as far as PC is concerned. He's responsible for me being able to put jacks anywhere in my home by going to Radio Shack and buying one. Before that, it was the AT&T police. Did Tucker really establish a low price and the Big 3 said he couldn't do it? I was living in public housing and poor. I remember trying to sight Studebakers (strange car that one couldn't tell if it was traveling backward or not), and the sleek Buick, after the war. All this just happened to me since noon. I feel like it's back to the future for me. Still another documentation that being the paranoid I am is healthy mental exercise.
Funny in googling some more I came right back here, someone else already dealt with the speech on the Forum:)
