Hi,

I live in So.Cal. and remember going to Bill Hamlin's home in Ontario to see his three Tuckers. He passed away in the the 1980's and I've always wondered what beacme of his cars and what are their numbers?

I remember being about 13 years old in the early '70s, sitting in a restaurant located in Pomona, with my dad, looking out towards Holt Ave. I see a Tucker in black primer heading east! I was jumping up and down pointing and almost yelling, "Dad, It's a Tucker!". I'll NEVER forget that moment. I remember a couple years later I barely spotted a ruby red metallic Tucker getting new glass at a shop in Ontario. I had my dad swing the car around and we went back to the shop to look at it. The guy putting the glass in said it was their third time trying to get the glass "right", since the customer was so picky. He also told us the paint job cost $3,000.00. Years later, when I finally met Mr.Hamlin, I mentioned the above stories to him, and sure enough - they were his cars - maybe the same one. He also owned a white 1938(?) Graham. Very nice man, he even let me sit in one of his Tuckers(Gray upholstery?) Oh, yeah. I remember two of the cars had sequential license plates. Of the three cars he had, one was blue(a '50s repaint), another was ruby red metallic, and I think the third was in primer. He had lots of Tucker promo items in his garage, along with parts in the original Tucker boxes.
