I have written Jay at the Tucker Library and have heard no word yet as he is probably very busy
but wanted to get some feedback from Tucker fans in the meantime
Can you please shed some light on an item that my friend and I acquired recently ?
My friend and I acquired an ORIGINAL Tucker dealer poster and are trying to ascertain the scarcity and possible value of this item? Are they that scarce or were lots of them printed?
I have written the seller for more information on what dealer this would have come from and am waiting to hear. I think it may be Farber Motors in Columbus OH based on the other Tucker items he was selling and one item had that name on it but am not sure. I will let you know if I hear from the seller
I know it is worth what one will pay for it and condition but anyone out there have a guess or seen one sold?
The poster is entitled "The First Completely New Car in Fifty Years." This poster shows seven of the executives of the time for Tucker Corporation including Preston Tucker, Fred Rockelman, Lee S. Treese, K. E. Lyman, M. W. Dulian, Herbert Morley, and Ben Parsons. There is a great photo of the Tucker '48, and the poster explains all of the features of the vehicle including being tested at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the new safety features, the rear engine, electronic high frequency ignition, precision balance, single disc breaks and the individual wheel suspension
This poster is 13-1/2 inches tall and 20-3/4 inches wide. It has been folded in fourths as it was delivered to the dealer in the original Tucker Corporation envelope. The envelope is in poor condition as it has water damage and rips and does not have the Tucker letterhead on it. The poster has staining on both the left and right edges as shown in the photographs, and is torn at the fold seam on the right side from the edge to the middle of the 8 in 48.
Came from a fellows uncle who had dealership rights for a central Ohio Tucker dealership, however he never was able to open one.

Thanks in advance for all your help!
