This was never installed in a car or a boat. The story goes, someone bought 14 engines at the company "closeout" auction and this is one of those. The man who this engine came from was a friend of the man who bought the 14 engines. He got this one and put it away. He did not know what happened to the other 14 but thinks they proabably got scrapped or parted out. And no I am not sure what the man who bought the 14 engines paid for them.
As I stated previously this engine turns over. It obviously has alot of hard to find parts on it, and probably would not take a whole lot to get it running.
We are interested in selling it, so if anyone knows anyone who wants a nice original engine with alot of nice pieces on it please shoot me a private email. We would like it to obviously go to a Tucker enthusiast and would prefer to sell privately if we can. It's in Arizona right know. It will go into storage toward the end of March and won't be available for pick up or delivery until this coming November or so. We are not hauling it back east if we don't have to.
Thanks again for all the information. It's hard to believe that someone had the records showing where this engine was stored at the factory. Amazing stuff. This is a nice source of information. I have been reading everything contained in this website with much earnest.
