GM built a hybrid that resembles a Tucker in many ways. It has three headlights, with the center one mounted in the lower bumper and it does have the ability to turn with the steering. The engine setup is in the rear, mounted in the manner that Tucker's test car would have had. GM said that this was purely coincidental, but didn't they say that before when Chevrolet's concept drawings of 1949 were entitled the "torpedo", and had a car design nearly identical to the Tucker? Now more technology that was originally just concepts for Tucker are becoming a such as the Continuously variable transaxle a.k.a. the Tuckermatic, which would not shift into reverse on the test car(which is why they went with the Cord L18 during the 1947 production run) but, after more than fifty years of automotive advancement, we see it as an option on Saturn's Vue and Ford Five Hundred. Safety cages were also a Tucker idea and nearly every full-size luxury car in the world now has one. I am leaving two addresses to where you can find out more about this interesting vehicle. The first will be a link for Precept engineering, while the other will be a side image of the car. After seeing these two websites, you will see the overall "Tucker-like" characteristics of this car. Note the C-Pillar design. Here are the addresses:<br>
