Replicar - Possibly Ida

Has anyone heard of a Tucker with a Caddy Engine & Trans in the Hurricane West Virginia. I just heard that a widow sold one for $12,000 because she did not want to be bothered with it. Could this possibly be an Ida Automotive Replicar?

No way it could be an Ida car. Those cars were just put out two years ago and they costed 450K to develop and 150K to sell. It must be one one of the replicars used in the film back in the eighties. They were based on front engine Ford Galaxies and they had no interiors at all, just a small instrument panel made from the Ford, and no headliners or upholstery. Those cheap knock-offs were cheap to build and are probably cheap to sell. Another possibility is that it could be one of Chick's replicas, but other than that, I do not know of anyone who is building replicas of Tuckers here in the U.S.

Ida's got a body on eBay now for $20k. Conceivably, if the guy just bought the parts and never built it, she could just want to unload them. Oh well.
