Tin Goose Questions

id like to know some history about the tin goose. from what i under stand it wasnt all that reliable, so i doubt that it was driven much. but what was it used for after its unveiling, and when its job ended, what happened to it up untill it ended up in the museum. i had heard that at one point it was in sad shape, but has been restored. id basically like a brief history of the tin goose, i appologise if this info was covered any where else, i couldnt find this info so that is why i asked.
