While the Tucker has univeral joints on it's rear half-shafts (drive axles), and both rear wheels are independently sprung as is characteristic of a de Dion-type suspension, I believe it lacks the beam which connects to and holds the two wheels parallel. But my time spent under Tucker cars has been brief, I may have missed something, and there are variations on the suspensions (though not always original). But based on what I think I know, I would say that while the two designs are similar, the Tucker does not have a "true" de Dion-type suspension.
