It gives a rather favorable review of the car.Preston Tucker's "Dream Car" was years ahead of its time. Even though it was referred to as the Tucker Torpedo during its development stages, when it was formally introduced, it was the Tucker '48, a designation of its first model year.
First-time features included a rear-mounted Franklin helicopter engine converted to water-cooling. Many safety innovations, such as all-wheel disc brakes, pop-out windshield and a padded instrument panel, were later copied. The Tucker '48 also had a four-speed manual transmission with an electric shifter and a "Tuckermatic" automatic transmission with only 30 basic parts.
It had a steel safety bulkhead that surrounded the luggage compartment located under the hood, thus shielding the passenger compartment from head-on collisions.
Much more at the link, though it is inaccurate in the 0-60 times, I do believe.
