Hi, I have been going thrue some very hard times out here at my new home trying to keep up with bills and have some big problems to solve. Hope someone has answers to help me with them or?? Here I go with the bad news. I have a few unfinished projects I put 100s of hours of love into just sitting out in Los Angeles just falling apart with no care of any kind since they were left behind after running out of money trying to move everything out of my dads home to my new home. They are my Tucker 1951-1/2, a 1950 Cadillac and a 1959 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. That is all that there is left after moving my other cars and selling one of them to help pay my bills in an atempt to make my dreams come true. I never tought moving would take to much money on over 6 trucks full of things and only two of my cars I was able to move due to not finding a wide enough trailer to move the other cars at the same time while moving. Well now things are falling apart out there and wished I could find someone to help me. The trailer problem is solved since I was given a trailer but have nothing to pull it with. But now there is a bigger problem. My dad never paid bills on the house and the bank now has the house for sale. What will hapen if the bank sells the house? Will I lose everything that is still out there? Well I have no idea and no help of any kind. I still thank the Carpenters for all their help but now I feel like all my dreams are falling apart. Starting all new out here has been hard and slow for me. If someone can help me move the cars I will pay for the gas money and some Tucker items from my collection.

Ricardo,

I have a solution for you. I spoke with Eric Breslow, the owner of Tucker #1031. He is willing to pickup
#1051 1/2 and bring it up to Northridge CA so that it can be part of the Tucker Club Convention in June. After the Convention is over he'll deliver it out to Inyokern for you. How cool is that ! You'll get to have your car be part of the Tucker Club Convention and get it delivered to you at no cost.

Let me know if that will work for you and I'll coordinate with Eric to make it happen.

Just that there are two things. I have the body behind other cars at this time at Los Angeles and the frame is here at Inyokern. But maybe there is a way to make things hapen. Thank you for the sunshine you are letting me start to see here.

I'm sure that could be worked out somehow. Just let us know if you're interested and and how to contact you and the details can be worked out.

Do other Tucker Club Members think it would be great to see 1051 1/2 at the Convention?

We want to send a great big "Thank You" to Eric for his gracious offer to help Ricardo. We had given strong consideration to going to the convention early and moving Ricardo's project as we will be in the area with an empty trailer. In the past we have tried to help Ricardo with photos and measurements from 1017. This is living proof that Eric should be strongly considered as one of the new members on the board.

I, for one, would love to see Ricardo's 1051 1/2 at the convention so everyone could see how one man has taken bits and pieces of metal and put together his dream of owning a Tucker.

Hey, everybody what do you think? Please post a reply.

Thanks Keith and Eileen. You guys are the sweetest. I did actually send an email to Bill the club secretary indicating I would like to serve the legacy! It's with a heavy heart that it might be Bill Whipples seat I take over. I do think it's important to have a car owner on the board. Again I'd sadly take Bev's place there. I also think it's important to have another (kit being #1) technology person on the board. Modern clubs need up to date technology pushing new and interesting content almost daily to stay relevant.

Keith or Eileen and Tuckerfan48 I hope your names have been submitted too. Dedication like what you've all displayed is what the club needs!

On a separate note I look forward to hosting everybody on Saturday at the convention. If you've never been or are on the fence Martyn has put together a few surprises (assuming budget concerns don't effect his suggestions.)
Aside from the fact that you'll see a minimum of 4 Tuckers (were trying to line up more) there's going to be some amazing guests and fascinating Tucker memorabilia to view. If anyone would like extra time Friday or Sunday to immerse themselves in our Tucker library we will make our gallery available both days

Thanks!

Since you asked my name has been submitted to run for a position on the Board. For the last few years I've spent a lot of time researching the history of each individual car. With the help and support of Richard Jones, Larry Clark, and Jay Follis I was able to make a lot of new discoveries. I would agree with Eric that new technologies need to be embraced and the content needs to be interesting to attract new members.

I think that having a car owner on the Board is an important thing and Eric would be well suited to represent them. I believe that having someone actively involved in the historical research of the cars is equally important and I think I can help in that area.

I'm looking forward to the Convention in June and to seeing several Tuckers and hopefully the almost Tucker that Ricardo is building.

Hi, after a long time of going after saving 1051-1/2 it is no safe at its new home. Last week it was disasembled and cut in sections out there in Los Angeles and put inside a 53 foot long trailer along with two 1950s Cadillacs. The cars were then moved out here to their new home at Pearsonville, California where 1051-1/2 will be put back together on a rolling frame work will be continued. I thank the club for being friendly all this time and the members doing their best to help into the project. The Tucker Club is the best of all clubs :D
